Fair Trade  Wooden handcarved gecko  [IWAGG02]

Our painted wooden Geckos are mostly hand carved in Java then transported to Bali, Indonesia. Here they are individually painted by a family with local helpers and everyone involved in their production is provided a fair wage. The motifs are reminiscent of Maori artwork and interestingly their spots are applied using syringes with the needles removed. They are carved in wood and hand painted in bright colours.
