This brightly hand painted and carved crocodile box is produced by a family in Bali, Indonesia. The family are paid a fair wage in exchange for our orders which include other kinds of hand carved wooden objects including jointed wooden zebras.

This crocodile box has hinged jaws that open to reveal a secret box with teeth which are quite sharp so care must be taken! This item is particularly popular with little boys for storing secret objects!! Size: 20cm long **FOR CHILDREN 5+ ONLY**

Indigo Ocean has some really nice wooden toys for boys and girls.  I love this fair trade wooden toy train jigsaw puzzle made from rubber wood so its really robust.

It is made by a small fair trade craft enterprise in Sri Lanka and has been exchanged for a fair wage. It is brightly painted with 6 pieces. The dimensions are 120×110mm and is suitable for children 2+.

Indigo Ocean had a wide selection of fair trade wooden toys and gifts for children, both boys and girls, ranging from pencils, moneyboxes, magnets and even  fair trade wooden Noahs arks!

I wanted to share this one with you as I have 2 young nephews and every time I look at this it reminds me of them. They are in America so I do not get to see them very often so its nice to be reminded of them.

This fair trade wooden toy made from MDF by craftspeople in Sri Lanka who receive a fair wage in exchange for their products. This beautifully painted ark comes with Mr & Mrs Noah plus 10 pairs of animals. The ark has a removable roof and top deck, along with a stern that slides out to become a ramp allowing the larger animals to enter the lower deck. Dimensions : Size: 280×150x190mm. Recommended for age 3+.

As well as providing fair trade jewellery, Indigo Ocean also has a wonderful selection of fair trade moneyboxes which I absolutely adore!

They are skillfully  handcarved in wood and painted carefully in an artistic and creative way to depict animals such as giraffes moneyboxes, zebra moneyboxes, cow moneyboxes  and cat moneyboxes too!! They are great fun and would bring a smile to most people’s faces!

This wonderful graiffe money box is handmade in Bali, Indonesia. It is produced by an extended family and all their hand crafts are purchased for a fair wage so the family can have a better standard of living. This giraffe money box is carved from wood then painted in durable black and brown paint and has a string tail. Slide the door to get your money out! Height 29cm.

This fair trade money box carved and painted as black and white cow is made by the same family from Indonesia. The cow stands at 18cm and also has a string tail.

As  with the cow, this zebra moneybox has a string tail and is painted in black and white  to give a realistc looking animal which will look after your money!
